This promises to be a good matchup between two 7-5 teams. Both teams have multiple weapons on offense and like to spread the ball around.
Marshall QB Chase Litton (2,853 yds, 23 TDs) can make things happen offensively. He has several targets, the main one being WR Tyre Brady (56-777-7). RBs Tyler King (714 yds, 6 TDs) and Keion Davis (671 yds, 5 TDs) share the duties out of the backfield. Marshall’s .833 winning percentage in bowls is 1st in the country.
The Rams have impressive weapons as well. QB Nick Stevens (3,479 yds, 27 TDs) has more than enough options to put points on the board. Michael Gallup (94-1,345-7) had another stellar season. Olabisi Johnson (35-476-2) is a solid #2. TE Dalton Fackrell (20-275-6) is a viable red zone threat. The running game features Dalyn Dawkins (1,349 yds, 8 TDs) and Izzy Matthews (583 yds, 8 TDs). Dawkins is electric, Izzy will pound you at the goal line.
This is a game I’m really looking forward to. I love what both teams bring to the table and this may well end up being one of the more entertaining bowl games.
