Quite an eventful Sunday full of football. And there’s still another game tonight. Let’s recap…………
The Patriots and Steelers put on a game for the ages. AFC Championship preview? Probably. Todd Gurley went crazy as the Rams destroyed the Seahawks. Do the Rams have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl? The 49ers won their 3rd straight game. It looks like Jimmy Garoppolo, straight out of Belichick’s system, could be the answer in San Francisco.
But for my dollar, the best part of today was seeing Teddy Bridgewater on the field again. On August 30th of last year, he suffered a devastating injury. Early reports were that his career was over right as it was beginning. They said it would be at least a year and a half, even if he could come back. We all doubted it to some extent. Teddy didn’t.
We’re talking about a guy who has faced adversity before. His mother is a breast cancer survivor. Do you think an injury would beat him after going through that? Teddy seems to be the type to excel no matter what the odds are.
He grew up in Miami and was a 4 star QB coming out of high school. By his sophomore year, he was Louisville’s starting QB. But he never let that stop him from exceling in the classroom. Teddy graduated with a degree in Sports Administration. These are the traits of a winner.
Teddy Bridgewater played QB in the NFL today. Yes, he was 0-2 with an interception. But he came back. I, for one, can’t wait to see what the future holds for him. Case Keenum will finish as the Vikings starter this season. But Mr Bridgewater will lead a team on the field again. I’ll be there watching him. I like watching winners.
Oh, the Browns lost today too.
