When: Thursday December 28th, 9:00, FS1
Current spread: MSU -1.5, O/U 46
All-time series: MSU 5-2
First off, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a WSU game with an O/U that low. That speaks volumes for the confidence that Vegas has in the Sparty defense. Luke Falk and company usually light up the scoreboard.
Falk (3,593-30-13) will look to air it out. Tavares Martin Jr (70-831-9) and Isaiah Johnson-Mack (60-555-5) are hoping he does. This air attack has been Wazzu’s bread and butter for several years now. Jamal Morrow (522-4) is a good receiver out of the backfield. This offense will be hard to contain.
Sparty QB Brian Lewerke (2,580-17-7) is also dangerous on the ground. He rushed for 486 yards and 5 TDs this season. When going to the air, he’ll look for Felton Davis III (51-658-8) to up the pace of the game. LJ Scott (788-6) can keep the WSU defense honest with a powerful running game.
This is the type of game I’d usually stay away from when it comes to betting. Either team can win, and the total just seems low. So low that I get suspicious. I’ll watch it, I’ll enjoy it. But I’ll keep my money in my pocket. But good luck to all of you who bet this one.
