Current spread: NCSt -7, O/U 59.5
All-time series: 1-1
Both of these teams have notched impressive wins this season. Both have also looked ugly at times. But I like the potential this game has. I feel they match up well with each other.
Wolfpack QB Ryan Finley (3,200-16-6) had a very good season under center. He’ll be looking downfield for WR Kelvin Harmon (65-993-4). RB Nyheim Hines (1,040-9) will be handling the ground game. But the main cog in this offense is TE Jaylen Samuels. He caught 69 passes for 551 yards and 4 TDs. But NC State uses him on running plays too. He gained 383 yards on the ground with 11 TDs. This guy is a true threat to any defense.
The Sun Devils will send Manny Wilkins (2,918-17-5) out on the field to lead them. He has a couple threats of his own in WRs N’Keal Harry (73-1,000-7) and Kyle Williams (59-678-6). ASU also boasts a solid two-headed running attack. Demario Richard (977-12) and Kalen Ballage (657-6) will both see action. The running game is a perfect complement to their air attack.
You’ll see a showcase of athleticism in this game. Both teams have versatile players. A handful of these guys will be regulars on Sunday in the near future. I like ASU and points, as I feel it will be a close game. But a slight lean to the under for my money.
