ISU was one of the bigger surprises this season. They had 2 wins over ranked opponents. Memphis had another high scoring season behind QB Riley Ferguson. This game is tough to predict, but should be fun to watch.
Cyclones QB Kyle Kempt (1,473-13-3) took over about halfway through the season. And what a job he has done leading this offense. Allen Lazard (61-799-9) had a great season as well. This tandem connected quite often for ISU. RB David Montgomery (1,094-11) provided a solid ground game for Iowa State and really helped propel this team to a 7-5 record.
Memphis boasts a dangerous QB in Riley Ferguson. His passing game was very impressive; 3,971 yards with 36 TDs against 9 interceptions. He also rushed for 6 TDs. WR Anthony Miller (92-1,407-17) had a phenomenal year. Undersized, but will definitely be playing on Sundays next year. Darrell Henderson (1,154-9) and Patrick Taylor Jr (798-13) provide a great running game for the Tigers.
Both teams have players that are simply a joy to watch. Montgomery, Lazard, Ferguson, Miller; all of them are next level athletes. I like Memphis laying the points, but lean towards the under in this one.
