And Then There Were 4……

Wow! What a weekend of postseason football. The Pats blowout of Tennessee aside, we had 3 very close games. The history of the Super Bowl is laden with legendary QBs. Brady, Montana, Unitas, Namath, Bradshaw, Tarkenton, Marino, Favre, Elway, Keenum, Foles, Bortles………………..wait…..what? But seriously, how exciting is this?

So we’re down to 4 teams. The Patriots are the obvious favorite at this point. But if this season has shown us anything, it’s to never count anyone out. So the lines heading into next weekend are as follows:

Jags (+9) @ Pats (-9), O/U 46

Vikings (-3.5) @ Philly (+3.5), O/U 38.5

Expect these lines to move all week. The Min/Phi total started at 40 and is already down a point and a half.

All eyes will be on the officiating after a season that has exhibited very questionable calls from Day 1. Cue the conspiracy theories, but the NFL needs Tom Brady and the Pats in the big game. There won’t be near the draw for a Bortles vs Keenum/Foles matchup. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not implying that any crooked fingers would find their way in this late in the season. (wink wink nudge nudge)

I am looking forward to the games next weekend. But I’m really looking forward to my Vegas trip in a couple weeks. I love prop bets. Once I get out there, I’ll pass along some of the more tempting ones. Don’t expect to see them all, because it usually ends up being roughly 300 pages of them. We have 3 games left. Let’s savor every second of them.
