South Bracket

Any of the top 5 seeds in this bracket could very well end up in the Final Four. Virginia, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Arizona, Kentucky. This is a very competitive group of teams. A couple first round matchups here could be closer than the spreads would suggest.

Davidson could easily catch UK sleeping. But the Wildcats finally seem to be firing on all cylinders and should handle business. Georgia State, at first glance, is no match for UC. But if the Bearcats go through one of their scoring droughts, Georgia State is the type of team that can drop some points on you in a hurry. Mick Cronin has to keep these guys focused. The last game and a half that they have played is exactly what Cronin wants to see over the next couple weeks.

As long as Arizona puts the drama and headlines behind them, they should cruise past a good Buffalo team. Creighton vs Kansas State looks to be one of the better first round games. They match up well, both teams are solid. Nevada needs to play a good first half, something they have not done too often this season. If not, Texas could pull the upset. Miami and Tennessee should handle their opponents fairly easily. Then again, it IS March.
